The aims of every orthopaedic-surgical intervention are to free the patient entirely of symptoms and the best possible restitution of their normal mobility.
Ever so often case histories are so complex and difficult that despite numerous operations no satisfactory results can be achieved.
 
Due to his long-standing experience and his reputation among patients and colleagues such special cases have often been carried over to Prof. Dr. med. Betz, so that this „problem surgery“ has ripened to a special field of his over the years.
Therefore it has become possible to achieve improvements regarding discomforts and function through the provision of individually crafted special implants.
Classic examples are stiffened hips, which can only be made mobile again using methods, which are extremely time and energy-consuming.
